PAL's headquarters and main production unit are located in Ponte di Piave, Treviso, Italy, some 40 kilometres from Venice international airport.
Testing is now carried out in the fully equipped new R&D center. Here, a highly qualified team performs tests on many tons of raw materials sent in every year by customers worldwide.
The aim is to optimize the machines and develop cutting-edge projects for the third millennium. A subsidiary factory is located in San Giorgio di Nogaro, Udine, 60 kilometres from company headquarters.

| PAL was founded in 1978; based on their consolidated experience previously gathered in particleboard plants, the founders focused on the development, construction and sale of machines for the production of particleboards, MDF boards, and later OSB. With the development of technology and products, the PAL team grew to over 100 members, highly qualified and strongly motivated by the continual successes achieved, which allowed PAL to become a leader in the industry.
Production covers a wide range of products, reaching from the log yard to the forming-pressing line, including feeding, chipping, crushing, extracting, screening, cleaning, sifting and desanding systems. In particular, PAL is the unchallenged leader in the treatment of recycled wood, a business that it started up in 1982 (when the escalation of fresh wood prices began) installing the first plants in Italy and later across the whole world. At the end of 2006, PAL had supplied and installed over 200 plants throughout the world, recycling every variety of urban forest and confirming its leadership in this sector
Screening is another field in which PAL is a world leader, with dynamic and oscillating screens, and over one thousand machines installed across the world. On the basis of its wide experience and competence, PAL has developed an innovative and efficient dynamic screen for classification of OSB strands, "QUADRADYN", which has been met with immediate success on the North American and European markets. In confirmation of its dynamism, PAL has recently entered the field of biomass energy production, with the supply of large capacity plants to big multinational groups, attaining important successes.
Over the years, PAL's organisation has been modernised, and after establishing a close collaboration relationship with Siempelkamp in 1996, in 2006 PAL consolidated the synergy started up with IMAL in 1998, expanding it further in order to reinforce the development of integrated high-tech solutions and to thus maintain its position as world leader in the industry.
